During the 1980s, Ian was involved in running his family hotel business and real estate assets before founding Dorchester Group. Initially building a large residential investment portfolio in the East End of London, they then expanded to other UK cities and sought regeneration opportunities in the UK and abroad.
This was followed by the acquisition of Heyford Park which led to the current Dorchester model of placemaking and large-scale community development. This includes a school, working opportunities throughout a large commercial site, and a significant residential sector with mixed tenure. The regeneration of Bordon, Hampshire, in a joint venture with Taylor Wimpy. Ian’s role is business development, funding, and investment.
